About NASGD

About Us

NASGD is the first dealer led trade association for the people who install and service standby power. No manufacturer holds a seat on our board and no manufacturer sets our agenda, because a trade this essential needs a voice that answers to the people doing the work. Founded and funded by nine dealers and industry leaders, backed by our founding OEM and affiliate partners, and growing every month.

Core Objectives

Advocacy & Voice
We are the united voice of the independent dealer. We champion fair policies, strong partnerships, and market recognition to ensure our members' perspectives shape the future of the standby power industry.

Collaboration & Growth
We strengthen the dealer network through shared learning and mutual support. We invest in the knowledge and training that empowers members to thrive and expands their vital role in community energy security.

Integrity & Innovation
We lead by operating with honesty and accountability. We embrace forward-looking strategies and new technologies to keep our members ahead of the curve in an evolving energy landscape

Our Story

NASGD was formed by working dealers who kept running into the same problem: no one spoke for them. Not manufacturers, not utilities, not the bodies writing the codes they install to. So nine dealers and industry leaders founded and funded the association themselves, and wrote into its charter that it would stay independent.

Our Mission

To help independent dealers build stronger, more profitable businesses through education, connection and a collective voice the industry cannot ignore. Our vision is to be the home of the independent dealer across the United States and Canada, raising the whole profession as home standby power becomes essential infrastructure.
